another left turn
As it seems to happen to me I start out in one direction and get pulled off path toward another. I have started to write. I don't really think of myself as a writer, but in fact, I really like writing. I have completed three stories so far, which I can't share yet - hopefully will do that one of these days. My "Hour to Spare" has been diverted from artwork to writing lately and I really love it! Here's a thought... if I keep making "left turns" as I journey will I end up back at the beginning or off on a totally new road?

December 31, 2012
A new year begins tomorrow and, as it usually happens each year at this time - the motivation is high, the ideas swim and swirl in my head, and the visual concepts of places and characters keep me awake at night. Stories, characters and visuals all seem to erupt and explode at this time of year. Is it because of a year ending with regret or a new year beginning with hope?
I learned that on the Breese family crest are the words "Dum Spiro Spero" which translated means (loosely I believe) " As I breathe I hope." I like that idea. Hope to learn more, do more and love more. How's that for a New Year's wish?

too long...
It's been a long time since I've posted anything - stuff happens - interrupts our lives without our invitation...
I've started a project. Here is the first sketch, taken from a previous drawing, followed by a work-in-progress. I will attempt to post my progress as it progresses! I am working in Photoshop -
and wondering if this is the medium I want to pursue ---- Is this where I ask you to cross your fingers?
